The stage at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts was taken over by the stars of Miami’s business community on Monday, November 4th, with approximately 450 guests turning out for the Miami-Dade Beacon Council’s Annual Meeting & Key Ceremony, presented by TD Bank. The event celebrated a record-breaking year for Beacon under the leadership of Outgoing Chair Penny Shaffer, South Florida Market President, Florida Blue, with 54 companies bringing $821 Million in new capital investment to Miami-Dade County. The event culminated with her passing the gavel to Incoming Chair Hugo Castro, EVP, Southeast Region, AXA Advisors.

A Company Showcase was held where 30+ key recipients and community partners showcased their goods and services for guests. Companies among the 2018-2019 honorees including BOLT Mobility, StayFilm, OIT, Slalom Consulting and others were presented keys to the County by Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos A. Giménez.
