The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) is proud to announce Alice Rodriguez (pictured right) as our Chairwoman of the Board for a two-year term. Alice is a business executive with JPMorgan Chase & Co. and was recently promoted to become the Head of Community Practices, Engagement and Inclusion for JPMorgan Chase & Co.

She has more than 33 years of extensive banking experience with JPMorgan Chase and its predecessors, starting in her native Texas. Alice holds a BBA in Management from the University of Texas at Brownsville.

Active in the community and an established leader at JPMorgan Chase, Alice has been recognized with numerous awards and honors including: Hispanic Lifestyle Latina of Influence; Named Corporate Elite by Hispanic Business Magazine; Distinguished Women’s Series Award from Northwood University; Academy of Women Leaders Award from the YWCA of New York; Minority Business Leader Award from the Dallas Business Journal; and Recipient of the “Inspiring Women of the Southwest” Award, Southwest Jewish Congress.

Alice has been recognized by the Association of Latino Professionals For America (ALPFA) on their “Most Powerful Latinas List” for three consecutive years.

The Board of Directors also voted to elect Nelson Reyneri Jr. (pictured left) as the Chair-Elect for the USHCC Board of Directors for 2022.

They have been dedicated to serving the organization for many years and are passionate, innovative, and powerful champions of small business,” said Ramiro A. Cavazos, President & CEO, USHCC.

Nelson Reyneri serves as Senior Vice President for Sales and External Affairs for Liberty Power, the largest independently- owned and managed retail electricity supplier in the United States, and one of the largest Hispanic-owned companies in the United States.
In this role, he oversees the company’s strategy for developing structured solutions to support corporations’ energy and sustainability goals. This includes product development for supply and demand side energy strategies, internal and external business analytics, and energy-related thought leadership.

Nelson also has extensive senior leadership experience in the public sector, including serving in various senior management positions as an appointee in the Clinton Administration, as Senior Advisor to Senator Kerry, and in the 2004 election cycle served as Director of Hispanic Outreach for the Democratic National Committee. In 2016, President Obama nominated him to serve on the Board of Directors of the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC). Reyneri has served as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of the National Utility Diversity Council, as Treasurer of the National Hispanic Medical Association and currently as Chair of Together Washington.

He also holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government, and a Bachelor’s degree, Summa Cum Laude, in Psychology and Philosophy and in Political Science from Boston University, where he was elected Phi Beta Kappa.

The USHCC Board of Directors and staff would also like to give a warm and grateful thank you and special appreciation to Carmen Castillo (pictured right) who will remain on the Board of Directors as Immediate Past Chair of the USHCC. Carmen is the President & CEO of SDI International Corp. based in Boca Raton, Florida.

The USHCC thanks her for her seven years of service on our Board of Directors and her fearless leadership and relentless support. Carmen has raised the bar for the USHCC and her passion and commitment to creating opportunity for Hispanic-owned businesses is incomparable. Carmen will continue to be involved as an advisor to the organization.
